Experimental research on speed characteristics of variable frequency pump device

Presents the experiment conditions and data processing method. Analyses the variation characteristic of the head, flow rate, total power and total efficiency of variable frequency pump device with the frequency. Analysis indicates that the square of speed ratio is not equal to the head ratio, and the cube of speed ratio is unequal to the power ratio. The flow rate ratio is equal to the speed ratio in the condition of the relative frequency ratio  between 84% and 100%. The results also show that the energy saving effect is great by reducing the frequency when the relative frequency ratio ranges from 0.5 to 1. When the relative frequency ratio is lower than 0.28, the energy saving potential is low by further reducing frequency.
